Win for workers: CUPE 456 reaches a deal with the City of Melville

CUPE 456 and the City of Melville in eastern Saskatchewan are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached.

“We are pleased that we have concluded this round of bargaining and look forward to continuing to provide quality public services for the residents of Melville, “said Kevin Schick, president of CUPE 456.

The deal still needs to be ratified by the City of Melville, which the union expects will occur at the next council meeting on March 17. Details of the collective agreement will not be shared publicly until the City of Melville ratifies.

CUPE 456 represents inside and outside workers in the City of Melville.
